Photo & Video:
Using Media to Tell Your Business’s Story
Good marketing is about telling stories, and in a digitized age where consumers are bombarded with spam robo calls, bot-written text messages, automated emails, and a 24/7 stream of AI-driven advertising gimmicks, true authenticity reigns supreme. GR Digital Marketing blends strategy with art by carefully planning, shooting, editing, and publishing photo and video content that tells your business’s story authentically.
Welcome to your suite of photo & video services.
If you’ve ever thought your business would flourish and prosper if only you could articulate its true nature to your target audience, this is the service for you. We use photo & video services to:

Show consumers an exclusive look at your business’s day-to-day operations.

Lean into the story behind your business, leveraging what makes you unique.

Present your products and services in a way that makes them stand out from the competition.

Attach compelling narratives to your products and services that will make your target audience want to do business with you.
Whenever we ask business owners if they have photos or videos of their business, products, or services that we can leverage in marketing and advertising materials, we are typically met with a long pause, a groan, an exasperated sigh, or even a sheepish grin.
Why?

Because producing photography and videography is a longstanding pain point for business owners.

Virtually every business owner in the 21st century knows that, to be competitive, they must leverage visual materials to promote their business, but most owners don’t feel that they possess the tools, software, and trade knowledge necessary to create engaging videos and eye-catching photography.

This is where GR Digital Marketing comes in.

What Does Using Photo & Video Content to Promote Your Business & Brand Look Like?

As a full-service, concierge-level marketing agency, we take a white-glove approach to photo and video, meaning our attention to detail is unparalleled, and our commitment to process, presentation, and perfection is unmatched.

For this service, we utilize our “catch the client in the act” proprietary model, focusing on photographing and filming our client’s business in a way that feels organic and natural. From the viewer’s perspective, it’s almost as though a hidden camera was placed in the business, capturing day-to-day moments that show how the business, its employees, customers, products, services, and all of the above are woven together in the business’s everyday operations.

The goal is authenticity; the driving principle is clarity; and the result is photo and video content that makes the viewer feel as though they are right there in person, interacting with the business in real time.
Putting the Client in the Driver’s Seat with a Suite of Visual Media Options
Our photo and media service is a multi-pronged offering, in that we provide both on-site photo and video shooting and off-site editing and production services. This puts the client in the driver’s seat, enabling them to select the exact type of service they want for their business.

Whether it’s showing up on your business’s doorstep to spend a day or more shooting photos and video, or whether it’s taking material you’ve already shot and compiling and editing it, we can help you leverage visual content to expand your business and brand.

Video Production and Editing by Jacob Morgan
A Video Production specialist and graduate of Belmont University with a Bachelor’s in Motion Picture Production, Jacob Morgan is as skilled in the behind-the-scenes work of crafting and planning a video shoot as he is when it comes time to step on-site and begin filming.

Every business is different, so every video shoot must be different. Jacob collaborates closely with the team and the client to define goals for the shoot, then builds a shot list to clarify which shots he needs and why. Jacob is adept at developmental planning, i.e., storyboarding, shot list creation, blocking, and composition.

On shoot day, Jacob captures the required footage. He edits hours upon hours of digital film to create the videography needed, whether it’s content for an advertisement, a Vlog, a short film or documentary, a storytelling exposé featuring the business, a sales pitch, a product or service description, or a filmed interview with the business owner or an employee.

About Jacob: Jacob is a storyteller with a passion for crafting unique visual narratives and bringing innovative ideas to life. He is an expert in utilizing cutting-edge techniques and editing software to transform raw footage into compelling stories that captivate and engage audiences.

Caption and Scriptwriting by Ren Brabenec
Photography involves still images that often contain captions describing what is depicted. Videography often involves people speaking on-camera. That’s why, whenever we shoot photo and video content for a client, we utilize the expertise of our Director of Copywriting, Ren Brabenec.

On every project, Ren consults with our clients, interviewing them to better understand their business, brand, products, services, and customer base. He works closely with the team to assess the goals of the photo and video shoot, then he crafts compelling language to accompany photos, and he writes interesting scripts for on-screen individuals to speak into the camera while being filmed on-site. When needed, Ren also provides on-screen acting and script-reading services.

Here’s an example of a video ad produced for Compass Nashville, in which Ren worked closely with numerous real estate agents to help them determine what to say in their on-screen roles.
About Ren: With millions of published words to his name, Ren has a unique ability to understand a business’s story and to find creative ways of using the written word to bring that story to life. Ren is a published author, an accomplished researcher, and a journalist.

How the Team Produces Unparalleled Visual Content to Promote Your Business
When you hire GR Digital Marketing to produce photo and video content for you, that process looks something like:
1
Planning
A photo and video shoot requires a thorough understanding of the goals behind creating visual content, which is why our team meets with the client and discusses objectives before even scheduling a shoot day.
2
Execution
On the day of the shoot, the team executes with speed and precision, often capturing thousands of still images and shooting hundreds of video clips.
3
Editing
For every hour spent shooting, we often spend two to three, even four, hours editing, all to produce quality visual media our clients can then leverage in their advertising, web design, social media, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
What if My Business is Not in the Same Geographic Region as GR Digital Marketing?
No matter where your business is located, we are willing to travel to your business’s location in order to physically shoot photo and video on-site. Our travel expenses will be included in the proposal we give you, detailing our scope of work and deliverables.

For photo and video editing and off-site production, we can provide these services remotely, no matter where your business is located.

Case Study Examples of Our Work
Anderson Design Group
The ethos of media services is about telling a business’s story, and nothing could be more emblematic than the photo and video shoot the team conducted with our client, Anderson Design Group. For this project, we scheduled a full day to shoot thousands of still images and short film snippets of the business’s poster art, gifts, books, gallery, and studio. Beyond that, we filmed the artists in action as they were directed through the creative process by Anderson Design Group founder and creative director, Joel Anderson.
We also shot ad-style video clips of Anderson Design Group employees introducing the public to their new book release, a coffee table book called Beyond the National Parks, and the business’s new run of wall calendars.
ITS Environmental Services
GR Digital Marketing is always willing to travel to shoot photo and video content with our clients, as demonstrated by our work for ITS Environmental Services. ITS is a trusted crime scene and environmental waste cleanup business, but they had little to no imagery for their Google Ads, and much of the imagery associated with their work would violate Google’s policies due to gruesome depictions.
For ITS, we traveled to the Northeast to conduct on-site photography, enabling us to capture authentic images of the office and staff. We hosted a photoshoot in the warehouse where they store equipment for large-scale cleanup jobs. We also photographed their business trucks and the employees loading up and leaving for a short-notice job they had to embark upon late in the evening. We edited our photos and helped ITS use them for Google Ads and on their website.

AZ Wound Solutions

Sometimes our client has already shot hundreds of photos and video clips, and now they have a library of content, but they are not sure what to do with it or whether it is even ready to show the public. AZ Wound Solutions had taken great photos, but many of them were unusable due to excessive glare and shadows.

We used Photoshop to remove all issues in each image so they would be presentable and usable on the website. This included editing each staff headshot to create a uniform style and removing excess shadows and lighting glare lines.
